  • bodySTRONG is looking to hire front desk team members to help us run our daily studio operations.

    Front Desk Associates are part-time employees who must have 2-3 days of availability week over week, totaling 10-20 hours, with at least one of those days being a Saturday or Sunday. The responsibilities and duties of this position described here are representative of those an employee must perform. This is not a comprehensive list and other duties may be assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Excellent sales and customer service skills required.

    • Must be fluent in English and have excellent communication skills via in person, phone and email.

    • Ability to learn and use Momence, our booking software system.

    • Must have proficient computer skills.

    • Detail oriented, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

    • Ability to stand for up to 4-6 hours throughout the workday.

    • Has a 'go the extra mile' attitude: is willing to take initiative and perform reasonable work assignments above and beyond the expectation.

    • Must have an interest in fitness.

    Responsibilities

    • Front desk staff members take on many roles that include, but are not limited to:

    • Create a friendly and inviting atmosphere by greeting and directing our clients, guests, and staff with enthusiasm.

    • Be the first point of contact for all new customers by providing facility tours, setting them up for their class or appointment, and helping them sign up for a membership.

    • Provide support to bodySTRONG coaches to ensure a successful check-in process.

    • Provide members with scheduling assistance for classes and personal training appointments.

    • Provide child care supervision in our playroom while parents take class.

    • Work collaboratively with bodySTRONG staff members to ensure efficiency and camaraderie.

    • Maintain knowledge of all our class and service offerings for retail operations.

    • Perform sanitizing duties between classes, launder towels, and complete regular cleanings of the facility, it's equipment and bathrooms.

    • Keep the front desk clean and tidy at all times.

    • Respond to in-person, email and phone inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.

    • Manage the phone line and answer all calls in a professional and courteous manner.

    • Perform other reasonable work assignments outside of the front desk role as directed by the owner, direct manager, and/or facilities assistant.

  • We’re looking for qualified group fitness instructors to teach our beat-based class formats, bodySTRENGTH 50 and bodyCONDITIONING 40. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a small community gym environment, has prior experience teaching rhythm-based classes and is looking for a position they can grow in.

    Responsibilities:

    • Coach a minimum of two classes per week. Opportunities for more hours if desired.

    • Program well thought out rhythm-based strength and conditioning classes.

    • Source music and create playlists.

    • Help build bodySTRONG’s community and retain current clients.

    • Ensure the safety of all participants in regard to exercise techniques.

    Qualifications Needed:

    • High energy and ability to command a room of 12 clients.

    • Quick learner with an outgoing personality that thrives in a high paced environment.

    • Love of music and play-listing. Our classes are beat-based so experience teaching rhythm-based classes is required.

    • Ability to lead a workout while exercising and speaking simultaneously.

    • An understanding of basic strength training and conditioning principles.

    • Possesses excellent time management and communication skills.

    • National fitness certification from ACE, NASM, ACSM, AFAA or equivalent.

    • Current CPR/AED/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain certification prior to starting the job.

    • Prior experience teaching group fitness classes is required.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    • Coaches are paid an hourly rate per class, in addition to monthly commission pay.
